Mrs. Collier's Math 8

We will begin this week with SOL 8.18, domain and range.  Students will find the domain and range of a function, chart, table or graph.  They will also learn other vocabulary words for the domain and range, such as independent and dependent variables, input and output, x and y, and x and f(x).  Later in the week we will review proportions and scale models.  Students will set up their own proportions from pictures and word problems. 

The Bobcat Bucks program is off to a great start.  Keep earning those bucks for a chance to buy some great items at the auction in December!!!

Although we rarely use the text during class, you may wish to look at the book from time to time.  There are extra practice pages that you may do at home.
